27 May 2026: Preventive health platform, Emerald, is set to unlock access to its GP-led health solution to 12 million employees across the UK through its partnership with the UK's largest fitness and health network, Epassi UK.
This partnership will enable businesses across the UK to provide employees with access to Emerald’s platform which helps users identify early health risk signals and enables ongoing private GP support to boost healthy outcomes.
Emerald combines in-clinic laboratory screening with ongoing private GP support and a digital platform that brings results, wearable data and health history together in one place. This enables GPs to review healthcare data, including sleep and activity, and medical history to provide personalised guidance.
Emerald is clinician-founded and Care Quality Commission registered, with regulated activities including diagnostic and screening procedures and treatment of disease, disorder or injury. It is also backed by Innovate UK support and leading venture investors, including prominent operators and industry experts with backgrounds at Checkout.com and Wise as well as athletes including former England international, Patrick Bamford. Since launch, Emerald has supported thousands of members in the UK.
Employee health support is often spread across separate providers and tools, making it harder for people to access initial support as well as benefit from regular follow-ups and clear next steps. Emerald’s holistic platform offers key datapoints, guidance and signposting in one place to enhance healthcare support and outcomes for users.
Solutions such as Emerald play a key role tackling poor workforce health which is piling pressure on employers and impacting business performance. Recent research from the CIPD suggests employees are off sick for nearly two full working weeks on average (9.4 days) each year*, whilst government figures estimate the annual cost of poor workplace health to employers at around £85bn**.
Alexander Badalyan, CEO and co-founder of Emerald, says: “Epassi UK is setting the standard for connected, proactive benefits and we’re excited that this partnership will help more employees access proactive, doctor-led prevention. Emerald is built to move beyond ‘test and forget’, connecting clinical screening with wearable data and medical history so members can take meaningful action and track improvement over time.
Emma Vivo, Merchants Director at Epassi UK, explains: “Demand for healthcare support is growing and is now a non-negotiable in modern workplaces. At Epassi UK, we believe the future of employee health benefits is connected, personalised and proactive. That's exactly why we're excited to partner with Emerald to boost access to preventive healthcare solutions for millions of employees across the UK.
“Emerald’s platform combines GP-led clinical screening, with data-led insights and ongoing medical support to provide employees with a clear, continuous path to taking control of their health. For employers looking to move beyond reactive absence management, this is the kind of meaningful, joined-up support that makes a real difference to both employees and business performance."
