Creating a healthy workforce will ultimately create a healthy business.

Employee benefits can be a brilliant vessel to make that happen – contributing to a more compelling employee proposition and offering improved value for money to employees and employers alike.

As employers continue to face cost-of-living pressures, it’s clear that salaries alone are no longer enough to keep someone in their role.

With 62% of employees saying that a good benefits package is the most important thing they look for in employment, our latest report has found that employers are continuing to push for a positive change. But there’s still work to be done!

There remains a disconnect between what it is that employers are offering and what it is that employees want. A failure to match demand for personalisation and improved communications around benefits packages still provides businesses across the country with a dilemma.

To dive deeper into this, we’ve commissioned a survey of 500 HR decision makers and 2,000 UK employees to better understand how the employee benefits landscape has evolved and whether employee demands are shifting.

Key findings include:

  • 62% of employees say a good benefits package is the most important thing they look for in employment

  • 70% of employees would like their company to invest more in employee benefits

  • Just 24% of employees feel that their wellbeing is taken seriously at work

  • Private Medical Insurance is the benefit employees are demanding the most in 2025
